THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY

I love lazy Sunday’s like today. I got up and read the papers while watching some TV and then went to my parent’s house in Redcastle, Co. Donegal. I come from a big family, six kids (ranging in age from 40 something to late twenties, so maybe kids is not the right word), my parents, five spouses and ten grandchildren (my nephews and nieces), and most Sunday’s my mum wakes up before the crack of dawn to prepare an amazing Sunday dinner for some, if not all of us. While I admit at times it’s hectic, it’s also a lot of fun giving each other stick, hearing what we’ve all been up to that week, and discussing the latest scandal from the sunday papers. One of my new year’s resolutions this year is to remember and acknoledge all of my family and my friends’ birthdays next year. It’s easy when you’re busy to not get someone a card, but as silly as it sounds I love getting birthday cards myself!

The light was really nice today, so I got a chance to shoot a few images with my nephews and nieces. Here’s an image I captured of my niece, Anna.
