Shauna + Michael's Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel & Spa wedding - Donal Doherty

Shauna and Michael’s beautiful wedding day took place on 9th August 2018 at St Brigid’s, Carnhill, while they hosted their reception at the always stunning, Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel & Spa.

I love this couple! They really know how to have a good time and from the first time I met them, it was clear that they are meant to be.

The morning of the wedding kicked off in style as the ladies prepared for the day ahead. The champagne was popped open while I was in the background capturing those all-important detail shots.

Shauna looked ethereal in a lace ballgown which exuded vintage vibes, while her leading ladies wore royal blue floor length dresses for a pop of colour.

After the ceremony, the weather was favourable so we made a pitstop at the beach, with the beautiful Donegal coastline serving as a stunning backdrop for the couple’s wedding photos. Next, we headed to Ballyliffin Lodge and I was definitely impressed with their decor choices. Check out that epic birdcage inspired wedding cake!

Following the speeches, meal had been eaten and cake had been cut, guests hit the dance floor and enjoyed an unforgettable night with the happy couple.

Shauna and Michael headed to Lanzarote on their honeymoon – the perfect way to kickstart married life.
