RIONACH’S PERFECT DAY

Over Easter I was in Downings and my 13 year old niece and god daughter, Rionach was giving me a bit of stick for forgetting a few birthday and Christmas presents over the years. I came up with a solution and offered to give her a perfect day. Rionach could decide how she would like to spend her perfect day. She said she’d have to discuss with her ‘associate’ – Margaret’s 9 year daughter and Rionach’s friend ‘Jenny’.

Here’s the email she sent me detailing her plan of action!

P.S. GET YOUR BIG FAT PURSE OUT RIONACH IS IN THE BUILDING!

I laughed my head off when I read Rionach’s email and we later got a menu from Rionach for her dinner which included garlic dough balls, happy faces and ice cream with crushed maltesers on top!

With the help of Margaret, Rionach and Jenny had a blast. On Saturday night they had a big dinner with all the treats you could want, followed by scary movies (nearly bursting my eardrums in the process) and they made it to bed around 2am. On Sunday we hit the movies – here we are enjoying Titanic in 3D on the 100th anniversary of the ship sinking (iPhone shot).

And an iPhone shot of the girls bowling – Jenny ended up winning and I even told the people in the bowling alley that it was Rionach’s birthday so they made a bit of a song and dance about it and brought her an ice cream!

I’ve promised Rionach (on the right) to make sure not to miss any more presents and suggested her perfect day might be a little different in ten years time!
