Sarah and Ivan are an amazing couple and I was really looking forward to capturing their wedding in one my favourite locations, Redcastle Hotel.

The mood was very relaxed in the morning as Sarah and her bridesmaids Joanne, Rebekah and Hannah prepared for the day ahead. The dress was stunning and Sarah looked incredible when I ventured up the stairs to capture some images of her and the girls in the final stages of getting ready.

Arriving at Redcastle, it was clear that Ivan couldn’t wait to see his bride and I had a chance to capture a few fun images with him and his groomsmen.

Walking backwards I nearly toppled a huge candle stick which drew a great aaaaahhh from the guests as we awaited Sarah and the bridal party, but I managed to stop it from falling over completely getting a cheer for saving it – doh!

Throughout the service the couple looked so, so happy and this happiness continued as we shot (in the rain for a moment) at Stroove Beach. Back at the reception guests mingled and enjoyed a drink or two before enjoying a gorgeous meal. The speeches were great and I think those taking bets lost count of the thank-you’s!

After a couple of images on the terrace, Sarah and Ivan hit the dancefloor to dance the night away with their closest friends and family!

Sarah looked stunning.

It was the first time I had photographed a civil ceremony at Redcastle Hotel and it’s an amazing setting.

The rain adds a cool effect in this image!
