It’s been a busy start to the first working week of 2011. I had a to do list the size of your arm to get through today, but kept getting emails and calls all day. I just know on days like this that I just need to forget about getting work done.

I finished watching the CreativeLIVE Jasmine Star workshop a few days ago and ended up re-watching it to take notes the second time around. I also got a chance to watch the Tamara Lackey, Children’s Portrait Photography workshop which was fascinating. The way she talks to children is brilliant.

Among everything else I’ve been doing over the holidays, I have been thinking a lot about branding. I have been wanting to have some professional photos of me on my website and blog so booked a session today for the start of March. It should be a fun experience to be on the other side of the camera for a change – I need to start practicing blue steel now! 🙂

Burglars beware, I have a fierce new guard dog! I am dog watching for my sister and her family’s dog, ‘Chico’ today for the second time over the holidays as they are in Spain for the week. He kept pawing my leg to get up when I was working so I let him up on the desk and he sat guard looking out the window.

P.S. I really, really want to buy a dog, but don’t know which type – suggestions welcome.
