Kristina and Peter were married on 27 June, with a ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church in Pennyburn Derry and a reception at the Lough Eske Castle.
Kristina is from Canada, and Peter is from Derry here in Ireland. Kristina had been penpals with Peter’s brother, Ross, who sadly passed away. However, Kristina kept in touch with Peter, and he eventually went out to Canada to meet her. They fell in love, and the rest is history.
On the day of the wedding, I arrived at Lough Eske to prep with Kristina, while my second shooter, Michael Love, was with Peter at the church.
Kristina had not one but two wedding dresses. She wore her main dress to the ceremony, but just before dinner, she changed into a stunning red dress that showed her association with Canada. The entire day went off like clockwork, thanks to Kristina’s great organizational skills. She knew what she wanted throughout the day, which made her so easy to work with.
Before the reception, we stopped at the Barnesmore Gap in Donegal for a creative shoot. I love this location, and I had a fun time climbing out into the rocks in the middle of the river to get some of these shots.
One of the most touching parts of the reception was the speeches. They were genuine and heartwarming, including a tribute to Peter’s late brother, Ross.
Peter & Kristina, thank you for allowing me to be part of your amazing day! I wish you both so much happiness.
