J* EXPOSED

I just finished reading Jasmine Star‘s Exposed magazine, which I bought at her platform class at WPPI (Jasmine is one of the photographers who inspires me most). I’ve got to say I really enjoyed reading it. The writing is engaging and the images are outstanding of course. I love the way Jasmine’s not afraid to share her journey to become a wedding photographer, the good parts and the bad and I guess this is why so many people in the industry are attracted to her story (and perhaps why others just do not get it).

Last Monday I stood on the beautiful Culdaff beach as the tide kissed the shore and the sun split the sky, hanging out with and capturing an amazing couple, Eilis and James. It was 10am and I thought to myself, ‘I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather be doing right now, I am so lucky to do what I do!’ I think it is this passion that Jasmine has for photography and the industry that I am drawn to and the personal relationship she has with her clients so that she can capture them at their very best.

Since coming back from WPPI I’m putting myself at the forefront of my business. Some people will hopefully like what I’m all about, and no doubt some people mightn’t get it, but like Jasmine, I’m ok with that! I want to become friends with those whose weddings I’m lucky enough to capture as the experience from start to finish is more fun, personal and fulfilling for everyone.
