In September Margret and I travelled to Cyprus for a holiday and to photograph one of my best friend’s destination wedding.
Jenny and Andy’s romance was already international, when the couple met she was living in Australia and he was living in the Middle East. However, it was on a trip home at Christmas when the couple met properly for the first time (although they went to the same university) and they knew something this time was different. Over the next couple of years the couple met in far flung destinations before making the decision to move back to Edinburgh to be together.
On the morning of the wedding Margaret was on hand to do the girls’ hair, and the vibe was very laid back.
I met Andy at Saint Paul’s Pillar Church, which is an absolutely stunning location for a wedding.
As Jenny’s proud father, Philip walked her down the aisle, Jenny and Andy’s eyes met and it was clear that these two will make each other incredibly happy for the rest of their lives.
Following the service guests took a wedding bus ride through Paphos, before hitting the gorgeous terrace at Almyra for drinks and canapés.
I had some time to photograph the bridal party and happy couple, before they settled in for the truly hilarious speeches and a beautiful meal.
It wasn’t long before Jenny and Andy took to the dance floor to Ed Sheeran’s – ‘Kiss Me’ and their guests could not wait to rock the dance floor with them!
