AN INSPIRING DAY AT SWPP CONVENTION

I’m feeling so inspired today after hearing some amazing wedding photographers share their knowledge on shooting weddings. This morning I was up at 6.30am to make my way from Manor House down to Hammersmith to attend Lisa Aldersley‘s workshop, ‘Wedding Photography – A Passion for People’. Lisa’s photography is amazing and her style is laid back and personable. Getting chatting to other photographers has been great and as cheesy as this sounds, I think on the whole wedding photographers are nice people who have a genuine interest in people.

After this I checked out Annemarie King‘s seminar ‘In a Nutshell.’ Annemarie has shot over a thousand weddings which blows my mind. She has a great outlook and brand prescence which her clients love.

My last workshop of the day was Weddings By Brett Harkness. I’ve read a few of his articles – Brett’s operating at the top of the industry commanding fees in the tens of thousands of pounds per wedding. Some great images.

On the trade show front I got to further discuss my albums with my suppliers Sim2000 (see iphone image below) and Queensberry. I think it’s important to have a strong knowledge of their product range and to put faces to the names of the people I’m dealing with week in, week out.
