Colleen and Thomas were married on 19 March, with a ceremony at the Mountfield Chapel and a reception at the Glenavon House Hotel in Cookstown.
Colleen is from County Tyrone, and Thomas is from Dublin, but the two of them met in Australia. Colleen had just arrived there, and Thomas was working as a miner, when they met in hostal.
On the morning of the wedding, I arrived at Colleen’s parents’ home, while my second shooter, Tom Nicholl, was down with Thomas and the groomsmen at the chapel.
There was so much fun and excitement throughout the day. I especially loved the moment between Colleen and her bridesmaids right before they walked down the aisle—it was so genuine and really summed up the mood of the day. Their daughter, Grace, was the flower girl, and Tommy, their son, was the pageboy.
After the ceremony, we headed out for bridal party photos at the Killymoon Castle in Cookstown. I had never been there before, and I truly enjoyed using this as a background for our formal portraits! The light and the colours were amazing, and the early spring weather was perfect. The bridal party was also wonderful to work with, as both Colleen and Thomas were so outgoing, and the whole group was always up for a laugh.
Tommy & Colleen, thank you again for allowing me to be part of this exciting time for you both! Best of luck to you both!
