I am so thrilled to announce that my blog was awarded the Best Photography Blog award at the Blog Awards Ireland last night in Dublin.

The Blog Awards Ireland celebrates the best Irish blogging across sectors, and this year held its glitzy ceremony in the Tivoli Theatre, Dublin.  My blog made the shortlist in the Best Photography blog category after a public vote, and was thereafter named the winner by an independent judging panel.

I would like to thank all of the people who choose me to capture their most special moments. This wouldn’t have happened without your continuing support.

I am truly grateful to all the photographers who I have met and who have worked alongside me to capture some beautiful images. You have been a great help in sharing the images on your sites and in recommending me to other clients.

I followed my dreams to become a photographer who captures the love and joy of amazing families and couples around the UK, Ireland and beyond. I am truly blessed to do what I love each and every day.

The 2015 Blog Awards Ireland ceremony had a burlesque theme, with all those invited encouraged to dress for the occasion. There to accept the award for the blog was my Studio manager, Tom Nicholl, who attended in suitable three-piece suit and cravat.

And, in a surprising turn of events, Engage Live was also successful at the awards, having scooped up the Best Corporate Educational and Science Blog. The Engage Live blog compliments the company’s growing archive of classes, and features free informative video blogs and written blogs on everything from how to brand your photography business to tips on breaking into niche markets like newborn, fashion and food photography.
