Another fabulous year comes to a close, it’s time to talk trends. Each new year brings with it an array of unforgettable trends and 2015 was certainly no exception. So with this in mind we take a look at our fav top 10 trends of 2015!
And the Bride Wore
This year, brides dared to be different! Those with a flair for drama wowed guests in beautiful ball gowns, with full tulle skirts and delicate detailing taking centre-stage. This is one trend we hope continues in 2016.
Killer Heels
First comes the dress… next is those all-important shoes! Many ladies will admit they are just as excited about choosing their wedding shoes as they are about their dress and so it’s no surprise that brides are splashing the cash in a once in a lifetime splurge on their dream designer heels. We’re talking blue Jimmy Choos, sparkly Christian Louboutins and glam Charlotte Olympia stilettos. We’re impressed.
Old Holywood glamour
Nothing scream galmour more than Holywood and this trend had us swooning all year. Couples took luxe to a whole new level. Think red carpet chic and we loved it! Clasically elegant brides stood hand-in-hand with their dapper dudes in tuxedo suits, against a backdrop of glam metallic hues.

In Bloom
It was the year of petal power with cascading bouquets being the arm candy of choice. There’s nothing simple about this trend and the theme was definitely big, bold and beautiful. In an array of colours and styles it was simply bloomin’ marvellous.
Stylish Stationery
With couples wanting to set a stylish precedent for their day, marked by the arrival of their invites, it’s no surprise that this year saw a rise in never before seem styles. This year was all about grabbing attention and setting the tone for the big day. Think individual boxes, tied up with pretty ribbon, adorned with flowers and embellished with crystals.

Coloured Cakes
Marie Antoinette said: “Let them eat cake” and that we did! Cake couture has become quite the trend with all eyes on magnificent tiers of cake goodness! Gone are the days of plain white cakes, as colourful creations demand attention.

Vintage Chic
It’s been around for a few years now and this is one trend we’ll never tire of. The appeal of a bygone era should be credited to Downtown Abbey with an influx of stylish detailing reminiscent of vintage tea parties. Hand-picked flowers in rustic jars adorn tables laid with lace. These handmade finishes added a true touch of romance to many wedding days.
Navy is the New Black
With modern grooms wanting to look their best on their wedding day too, slim fitting suits were the outfit of choice, with many choosing navy over black as a stylish alternative for their big day.

Stylish Photography
One trend that always stays in style is the demand for stylish, good quality photography 😉 We’ve had a fantastic year photographing so many stylish weddings and can’t wait to discover what trends you’ve fallen for next year.
