Marian & Mervyn’s Fernhill House Hotel wedding

Marian & Mervyn were married on Saturday 6th July 2019, during a ceremony at Sacred Heart Church, Durrus, County Cork, before hosting their reception at the dreamy Fern Hill House Hotel.

I was delighted to take the trip down to Cork for this wedding. Undeniably, it’s a beautiful part of the world and proved an idyllic setting for Marian and Mervyn’s stunning wedding day.

It was lovely to see how close these families are I was blown away by the maple sear and kneeler, which was made my Marian’s brother Gerard and her brother-in-law Colin, who are both carpenters. These were used during the ceremony, which was a lovely touch. The duo also made a walnut display stand for the table plan at the reception.

The setting for the reception was just perfect. The weather was beautiful so we made great use of the gardens, which were in full bloom. In particular, these shots are my favourite.

Marian and Mervyn put so much thought and attention into this wedding and it was lovely to see it all come together. The room was chicly dressed and guests definitely loved it.

The happy couple took to the dance floor to Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars for their first dance, before being joined by the rest of the guests, to dance the night away to the sounds of Truly Diverse band.

The newlyweds headed to Italy for an epic honeymoon.

Congratulations Marian and Mervyn. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.
