I got the chance to attend the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s (SWPP) John Denton workshop at Lifestyle Photography in Bangor, Northern Ireland, today. Our model Fredau Hoekstra was great to work with and she has a really edgy look which I love. Considering she was outside in the freezing cold, she also has a great tolerance for adverse weather conditions! John focussed on off-camera flash a lot and demonstrated how the technique can be used to capture fashion influenced wedding images. As usual, one of the best things about attending workshops is meeting others and sharing experiences with other photographers. I always feel energised after attending photography seminars – I think they are not only good for developing photographic skills, but also good for the soul! Here’s a few of the images I shot today.
The last two images were shot in a tile shop, which proved to be a very cool and contemporary backdrop.
Donal, there is a stray hand in on of your photographs !!!! good use of flash !!! great effect for the irish weather when its bad !!!
I never was good at spot the difference! lol – have just cropped and added the image without hand!
