Melissa + David's Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa wedding - Donal Doherty

Melissa and David were married on the 15th November 2018 during a ceremony at Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa, where they also hosted their reception.

I love a couple who choose to do things their own way and Melissa and David’s day was packed full of surprises from start to finish.

First up, Melissa’s super talented mum made her amazing wedding dress. The vintage style fit-and-flare ballgown featured long lace sleeves and bodice, with gorgeous detailing throughout. Next, her bridesmaids strayed far from tradition, opting for different dresses and hairstyles (which worked so well together), evoking their own personal style. Bouquets of gorgeous cream roses effortlessly added cohesion.

After the bridal party preparations were complete, we headed to Tullagh Bay Beach for wedding photos, which included Melissa and David’s first look! While the weather was a little on the wet side, this definitely didn’t stop us. Umbrellas and blankets were produced and photos were taken, regardless of the rain.

With photos of the wedding party taken, and the happy couple photographed together, we made our way to Ballyliffin Lodge for the ceremony. As the main photos were already complete, the happy couple were left with plenty of time to mingle with guests prior to the reception.

Following the meal, I stole Melissa and David away for a few more minutes, for some romantic photos outdoors.

The newlyweds enjoyed a relaxing honeymoon in Malaga.
