On the 30th December 2017, Lizzie and Michael were married in the stunning St. Eugene’s Cathedral, before holding their reception at the always perfect, City Hotel, Derry.

I love a wedding in-between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. With everyone still off work and festive cheer in the air, it’s the perfect time for a magical winter wedding, and Lizzie and Michael’s day was just that!

In their matching pyjamas and slippers, the girls were drinking champagne and being pampered ahead of the wedding, when I arrived at the house. During this time, I got to work, capturing the many details on their day. The colours of this wedding were just wow! Traditional reds and greens were used throughout to effortlessly tie every element together.

Lizzie donned a satin embellished Ronald Joyce ballgown, while her leading ladies wore green tea length satin dresses, with dipped hems. Faux fur stoles completed the look, while bouquets in colours typical of the season, carried the wedding day colours perfectly.

Following the ceremony, we made use of the cathedral’s spectacular backdrop for photos before heading to City Hotel, Derry.

The reception was a ball from start to finish with a delicious meal, great speeches and fantastic music enjoyed by all.
