Just a few days after Christmas, Dympna and Shane were married at St Patrick’s Church, Dunamanagh, before hosting their reception at the always stunning, Silver Tassie Wedding Venue.

The couple live in Australia and so planned their big day from the other side of the world. Luckily, they have a very talented family who were more than happy to help out. Dympna’s brother Declan, created her gorgeous lace wedding dress, which was a hit with guests, while a family friend made their spectacular wedding cake, which definitely went down well at the reception.

While the day was planned from abroad, nothing was forgotten about. When I arrived at the house, the wedding party preparations were underway, leaving me to capture some of the many gorgeous details of the day. Check out those Jimmy Choos for starters.

Taking place on the 29th of December, there was an abundance of red, green and twinkly fairy lights, which added a touch of festive cheer to their day and popped in their photos.

Following the ceremony, we headed to the Silver Tassie Hotel. Given the cold weather, we sought solace indoors, taking advantage of the venue’s many fantastic photo spots. The couple also braved the cold to head out to the balcony, with the stormy sea seen in the background.

Following the meal, speeches and cutting of the cake, guests hit the dance floor, thoroughly enjoying the tones of the David Craig band.

The happy couple honeymooned in Rome and returned back to Australia in January.
