Carolanne + Christy’s Mount Errigal Hotel wedding

Carolanne and Christy were married on 22nd September 2018 during a beautiful ceremony at Mount Errigal Hotel, where they also hosted their reception.

My wife Margaret is actually Carolanne’s cousin and was maid of honour at the wedding, so it was lovely to be photographing the couple.

I arrived at the house as the bridal preparations were underway so set to task photographing those all important finishing touches. The couple had chosen a Great Gatsby theme so glamour was definitely the order of the day! Carolanne’s dress really lived up to opulence on the roaring twenties, choosing a David Tutera fitted lace gown with gorgeous embellishment. The bridesmaids stood out in red beaded floor length dresses, which definitely epitomised The Great Gatsby era.

Following the ceremony, we ventured outdoors, heading to Glenveagh National Park for some photos of the wedding party. The weather was thankfully on our side, so the backdrop proved pretty spectacular. We meandered around the grounds, stopping to capture some beautiful photos of Carolanne and Christy, before making our way back to the hotel.

The Great Gatsby theme was stylishly carried throughout the reception room, with amazing details as far as the eye could see. Check out that cake!!

After the speeches had been delivered, meal was eaten and cake was cut, the happy couple took to the floor for their first dance to Chantal Kreviazuk’s Feels Like Home To Me, before being joined by guests for an unforgettable night!

Congratulations Carolanne and Christy. Wishing you many amazing years together.
